Stewardship Statement
In our stewardship process, the Parish Leadership Team has drafted and approved the following statement which sets forth our theology of stewardship and giving.
As the Parish Leadership Team of Holy Faith Church,
We believe that:
• God loves all of us as we are, for "God is love" (1 John 4:16).
• Out of that love, God has abundantly provided us with the material things of this world in order that we might steward them responsibly and share them generously with those in need.
• God calls us to live in a way that offers a holy example of simplicity, responsibility, and environmental awareness.
• Our giving directly reflects our priorities in life.
We commit to:
• Sharing our gifts and acknowledging others' gifts of time, talent, and treasure in our congregation.
• An ongoing process of prayer and discernment about what kinds of ministry and what levels of generosity God might be calling us into.
• Moving into a level of generosity that causes us to be spiritually transformed as individuals and as a congregation.
• Prioritizing our giving - giving from the first fruits or our labors and not the last.
• A joyful practice of sacrificial giving.
• Becoming a financially self-sustaining church.
