Our ministry teams shift from year to year depending on our goals and priorities. Current teams are listed below and are always open to new participants. If you are interested in joining a team or want more information, please contact one of the Team Leaders or the office (429-2991 or Email the office)

Outreach Teams

Neighbor Ministry Team: This team, launched in the spring of 2009, is dedicated to finding ways to serve the needs of our local community.  Currently the team is planting and cultivating our Food Donation Garden, growing fresh vegetables to donate to Food Gatherers, a food bank that distributes to the hungry in our area.  We are also in the process of applying to become a grocery distribution site for low-cost, high quality groceries.

World Ministry Team: This team was also launched in the spring of 2009 as a result of a congregational visioning process.  The team's mission is to find ways for Holy Faith to connect with and minister to those beyond our immediate community.  The team is currently considering possible mission trips within the US, with an eye toward an international trip in another year or so.  This team is also planning some education events related to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and looking at ways to fight the racism that is embedded in our society and the greater Detroit area.

Standing Teams

Building, Grounds, and Tech: This team oversees the care, repair, and maintenance of church property, recommend decisions to the Pastor and PLT on projects, bids, upgrades, technology, etc., and take the lead on organizing and implementing church work days (approx 2 a year, as needed).  The coordinator will convene the team from time to time as needed, delegate tasks, and submit reports to the PLT.  This team will also have a list of "worker bee" parishioners with ability in some aspect of construction, fix-it skills, gardening, or computers and willingness to be contacted to help with these projects.SKATEJUMP-F94D

Finance: This team is charged with tracking and reporting the church's financial health, training worship money counters, creating each year's budget, making salary recommendations, seeing that an annual audit is done and its results reported, and making financial decision recommendations to the Pastor and PLT.  The coordinator will convene the team from time to time as needed, especially in the fall to put together the new budget, delegate tasks, and submit its reports to the PLT.

Administration: This team oversees the review, updating and construction of policies, legal concerns, insurance, bonding, by-laws, constitution, articles of incorporation, and personnel/human resources for the church.  The coordinator will convene the team from time to time as needed, delegate tasks, and submit reports to the PLT.

Hospitality: This team organizes the hospitality and legwork for special events in the church.  The Food Coordinator organizes food for events and for members of the congregation who are in need of meals (due to recuperation from surgery, illness, etc.).  The Youth/Family Events Coordinator plans fun events and outings for families.  The Liturgy Coordinator organizes parishioners to do set-up, decorating, etc for special liturgies.  All three coordinators would call on the list of "worker bees" for help with their events.
