Clergy-Provided Care
When you or anyone you know, in or outside of the church, is in crisis, Pastor Ian or Deacon Don will provide care. Just contact them for: • The listening ear and prayerful engagement of short-term counseling • A caring presence in hospital visits before and after surgeries and during illnesses • Sharing communion with shut-ins and nursing home residents • Gas, lodging, food, and referrals for people in need • A guiding hand through the funeral and bereavement process • Pre-marital counseling and wedding services • Baptisms and confirmations Lay-Provided Care:
Lay members of the church are vital in our care for people. Their ministries include:
• Specially trained Lay Visitors bringing communion and companionship to shut-ins and others in nursing homes and hospice facilities
• Coordinating and providing meals for families in crisis
• Food and materials drives for social service agencies • Rides to and from church for those who can't drive • The welcoming embrace of Christian community |
